2024 BearingLife Tour Comes to San Diego
The Lost Abbey Sanctuary in San Elijo Hills played host to Enduro Bearings’ 2024 BearingLife Tour on Saturday September 28, 2024. Participants enjoyed a half-day event with Gravelstoke and Enduro Bearings from 9AM to 2PM. Things kicked off in the morning with locally-brewed coffee at The Lost Abbey Sanctuary, followed by a no-drop 20-mile gravel ride that explored parts of San Marcos, Rancho Santa Fe, and Carlsbad.
The post-ride Speakeasy commenced on time at 12PM inside The Lost Abbey Sanctuary, where we reserved the entire venue for the afternoon. There, we enjoyed Lourdes Mexican Food, Lost Abbey brews, and a tech talk by Enduro Co-founder Matt Harvey. Matt shared insightful stories about how Enduro became the cycling industry's go-to performance bearing supplier, and what makes Enduro Bearings the best in the industry. The captive audience learned how Enduro designs, manufactures and tests its unique bearing solutions to improve performance and durability, and eliminates annoying squeaks and creaks. Also on hand was pro mechanic, Dan Large of San Diego’s XL Velo premier bike shop and service center.
Like all events in the Tour, participants walked away with Enduro Bearings swag and a valuable discount coupon code for Enduro products. Best of all, over $1000 was raised for Sprockids SD, an organization that works to get more kids on Mountain Bikes by teaching skills and organizing youth events in San Diego.
