Logos Components Changes the Gravel Wheel Game Forever
After hearing through gravel community forums of a new wheel brand from the people behind Thesis Bike, we are happy to report that the rumors are true. The new component brand called Lōgōs Components takes a playful yet serious approach to offering premium components at direct-to-consumer pricing. Founder and Head of Logos, Randall Jacobs, brings years of product development, supply-chain, and company-building experience to the new endeavor, and the results look very promising.
Included in the brand launch are 3 new wheelsets including 650B, 700C, and 29. Lōgōs tells us that “the collection is built using proven open standards and the best available materials, manufacturing techniques, and non-proprietary components to achieve benchmark performance, strength-to-weight, durability, and serviceability at an affordable price”. At the heart of each wheel system is the brand’s new arché|os hubset featuring the legendary and now open standard dual-sprung floating star ratchet system that was popularized by DT Swiss.
In addition to the high build quality, we think Lōgōs nailed the finished look of these wheels with their raw satin-finish carbon rims, asymmetric profiles, and individually reinforced and angle-drilled nipple holes. Lōgōs went with premium Pillar Wing 20 spokes and exposed brass nipples for superior durability and long-term serviceability. On top of it all, all Lōgōs wheelsets are backed by a 5-year warranty and lifetime at-cost incident protection for peace of mind.
Omnium collection wheels are available at an introductory price of $999 including lockrings, a universal replacement spoke, and choice of freehub. We’ll be getting our hands on the the Epoché 700c wheelset for review and will report back on overall value and performance.
